TEDx is a grassroots initiative, created in the spirit of TED’s mission to discover “ideas worth spreading.” TEDx brings the spirit of TED to local communities around the globe through TEDx events. These events include live speakers, demonstrations and recorded TED Talks, and are organized independently under a free license granted by TED. More than 3000 events are now held annually.

Our History
TEDxVitosha is Bulgaria's most sustainable event and idea-sharing platform, operating since 2016 under TED's license as a non-profit organization. Over the years, our team has attracted a total of 78 volunteers for 13 landmark events with 133 speakers from over 20 countries have spoken on our stage, our videos have been watched over 16.5 million times on the TEDx YouTube channel, and our network of dedicated partners is constantly growing.
We have been consistently building our community and are now over 4,000 people - entrepreneurs, C-level executives, young dreamers and activists, proven inventors and daredevils looking for their field to grow. Our delegates become our friends and partners. We follow the Lead by Example principle and in 2022 we created a Diversity and Inclusion Program to include people from minority groups - health and social - as delegates and speakers. In December 2022. The Council of Women in Business honored us as one of the top social programs by a nonprofit organization in the country.
